This is thee "snowy momma goddess"
This photograph is from her last year, shaking the snow off all of her beautiful feathers making her look extra puffy!!!!
I am so happy I spent months with her last year, so many days and hours in sheer heaven. This is thee owl I had fallen in love with years ago.
I actually wept for months this year, because it was the first year she didn't return. I spent many hours, days/weeks, months searching for her. The owl that resides in her place (as many have) simply isn't her.
I was incredibly sad at first, but now I am happy she didn't return, neither did Rosy or Ninja.
The overload of people that crowd these places, the egos that get in the way, the levels of disrespect... all the magic is lost as it no longer holds the sacred beauty as it once did.
It turns into a chest beating contest and ends up all about the money.
I am so eternally grateful for the time I DID get with thee most beautiful, sacred and profound snowy owl on the planet. I am thrilled I was one of the few out there all season.
Last year Snowy momma left in early February. My gut, my soul, told me she would not return.
She will live on forever inside my soul, and in the thousands of images I have yet to post:)
