3 Long Eared Owls.
This was a heavenly dream come true. I got word of 5 long eared owls roosting in a tree about a 5 hour drive from me. I asked my dear friend if he could PRETTY PLEASE drive us as my gut told me they would be there. We tried and tried on day one and no such luck. On day 2 we met a wonderful local man who led me to them. I was shocked by how much smaller they where in real life compared to only photos that I had seen. These owls were about the size of a ruler. 12 inches long. This photograph was taken when the sun was going down, so the ISO was high like 2500. I had to play around and edit a few branches out of their faces, but out of the 250 photos I took, this is the ONLY one that turned out. I REALLY love owls.

I wish I were a famous publisher. If that were the case, my first assignment would be to publish a beautiful owl book filled with your treasured photographs. I can just imagine it on the shelf at Barnes and Noble....seriously....your work is that good. How can you get to the next step?
Heather King replied:
You are soooooooooo kind dear Nancy ♥ thank you so much! I have no idea how I could do this, I have so much going on with my health & chronic pain I can't even think straight, if you can help me think of a way, I would love to try :)
