Artist's Description

I have been photographing owls for almost a decade now. It is a very rare and beautiful chance of a lifetime when one is able to find and photograph a male snowy owl.
Male snowy owls are almost entirely all white and they are about 1/4 smaller than the female snowy owl who is heavily barred (those beautiful black markings)
I have learned that the heavier the barred the snowy owl the younger they are.
I spent the many winters in search of the male snowy owl, and this handsome fellow I got to spend a good 30 minutes with upon his favorite perch.
