I will never forget this day for as long as I live. This is great horned owlet #1 her 2nd day out of the nest. I had watched her climb a total of 7 trees & tree stumps this day and during one of these times was fortunate enough to have captured this amazing beauty!
Owlets cannot fly when they leave their nest, sometimes they fall and when they do they use their beak and talons to climb up the tree.
