As of today I have found and photographed 7 Great Gray Owls in the Ontario and Quebec provinces in Canada. This stunning owl was captured in a forested area. I had no idea this beautiful creature was going to fly, when I seen her leave her tree I just pointed my camera at her and held down my shudder button like crazy and hoped for the best. She was flying to another place to perch. I didn't get her entire body landing on the perch, but I indeed did get on the way to it. I just love the way her wing tips cast shadows on her face and body.

There are about 26 of these magical owls in the province of Quebec. This is one of the many.

I dedicate this to Steve, for all his tireless efforts in researching where these owls can be. Thank you for giving me the means to reach my every...
