This has not been edited. This is a real life great horned owl living in the wild called a leucistic great horned owl which means she has only a partial loss of pigmentation, which makes her have white or patchily colored skin or feathers. Her eyes are yellow, if she were an albino owl her eyes would be red or pink eyes. Albinism is a condition in which there is an absence of melanin. A regular great horned owl's beak and talons are black, hers are not.
There are only 4 Leucistic Great Horned Owls in the USA and it was heaven on earth spending time with this one. Please watch the video above to marvel in this creatures incredible beauty.

thank you Naike ♥ it was well worth the 28 hour drive. I wouldn't say lucky, but passionate with perseverance instead :) With my late stage lyme disease I was bed bound for a week after doing this.
