Description
This has been somewhat of an eruption year for short eared owls all over Ontario & Quebec. These beautiful owls resemble butterflies or moths when they fly. Watching them hunt is AMAZING as they hunt with their faces looking directly downwards to hear their prey better. I was lucky enough to spot one of the many short eared owls at dusk rather closely when it perched upon a fence post.
Taken in Quebec, Canada
