Description
I took this photo with my smart phone (Iphone 6) at Jacques-Cartier Park (Which is in Gatineau, Quebec a 5 minute drive from my place) which hosts the biggest horticultural event in Canada, with MOSAĆCANADA 150/Gatineau 2017. This was a part of the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation (Canada's Birthday) Mosaiculture is a most spectacular horticultural technique that combines the following different art forms:
1. Sculpture for the structure,
2. Paint for the palette of colours, and
3. horticulture as the means of creating living and changing artworks with plants.
The theme of the Gatineau exhibit will reflect 150 years of history, values, culture and arts in Canada, represented by some 40 different arrangements.
Gaia, This beautiful version of Mother Earth, is the reason I wanted to visit this magical place. She is a goddess. It was incredibly difficult to get proper photos due to the thousands of people that attended. In her hand is a waterfall with a gorgeous eagle in her hand.
