A few years ago, when I used to be friends with a few farmers and was a lot healthier, I was allowed on their various properties for a few years. This juvenile snowy (younger owls are more fearless than mature ones) crossed my path that one winter where we had a huge invasion of snowy owls.
I remember being with one friend in the field, just us and this owl as we were making our way out of the field. the sun shinning so beautifully on him/her as it was setting I said to myself within "oh owlie, please stay there long enough for me to capture your beauty" and s/he did.
Snowy owls are rest during the day and become more active come sunset, I count my lucky stars for this day and that moment in time that will be forever etched in my heart!
