A few weeks ago before my fall (have been bedbound with the exception of the rare car ride) for over a week now, I got to spend a good 2 hours in a forest watching this beautiful great gray owl! There were only a few other women there and myself and I was in utter awe. I was amazed by how well this owl naturally blended in with the tree. Around 3pm I seen her bobbing her head up and down and I knew this meant she was hearing something I could not which meant she would take flight soon. Tomorrow I will post the photo of her leaving this tree in which I was lucky enough to get a shot of seeing as she flew right over my head and I had to duck!
