In this capture this great gray owl reminds me of a news anchor for some reason:)
I remember this day all too well. I was driving rural roads about an hour outside of Ottawa and had to do a triple take as I seen this gorgeous lone great gray owl in a tree. I pulled over and crossed the road to photograph this beauty. I was happy for the photograph how close it was to me, but sad at the same time as I know owls oftenly get killed by the roadside while hunting for prey in ditches at night. I only seen this beauty once, and for that I am grateful, as there is NOTHING more beautiful than spending one on one time with an owl in the wild.
