Description
Mr. Heron finally did it! He caught a grown up fish! He put on quite the show for me, showing me every step of how a heron hunts! First he sharpened his beak on his favourite rock ( i now why he loves that rock so much) then out for real fishing. He simply didnt just catch a fish and swallow it, but he stabbed it, cleaned it, kept smushing it in his beak as if to clean the fish and drain it of its feces. He rinsed it about 3 or 4 times before he finally consumed it. The red on his beak is actually blood.
Not only is he beautiful, but he is wise and full of stealth
The bonus of all this patience and thousands of shots paid off as the fish is looking at the camera in his beak:) On mister heron would give me such a wonderful capture!
I never thought I would fall madly in love with a feathered friend in any way shape or form how I did with Momma Snowy Owl Goddess. I thank my lucky stars for the sweet souls who led me to Mr. Heron He is the second feathered friend I feel a connection to and I am completely smitten by him and all that he does. I would love to spend the day with him, from morning to nightfall, documenting his habits, how much he eats, where he sleeps, etc.
Photography and birding are my drug, my high, my heart
