Description
This photograph was taken of brother and sister great horned owlets in the first few days of May 2016. It was next to impossible to get a good shot due to all the debris (branches, budding trees) in the way, and even more difficult to get them both looking at me at the same time...not my best photograph, but I'm so happy to have captured them together, and looking at me ♥ please stay tuned as almost every day for the next 2 months I will be posting more photos of them in the nest, branching, fledgling and becoming teenage owls ♥ We are guessing the older owlet (the one on the left) is 3-5 days older than his/her sibling
Taken with Canon 7D EOS
lens ~ Canon L 4.5 5.6 100-400mm
taken at ~ 400mm
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

You must have a great eye in seeing this, i would not. The natural camouflage is so good, only a trained eye and knowledge about these wonderful birds can give you this. Two youngsters, curious, but on a safe distance. Beautiful work, Heather! L/F
